Charles T. Nguyen, MD
Dr. Charles Nguyen is the medical director and founder of the Lorphen Medical Weight Loss Clinic. He earned his Medical Degree from the University of California at Irvine, where he completed his psychiatry residency training and, as a faculty member, won excellence in teaching awards for seven consecutive years. He also won the Thomas F. Riley Community Service Award, the NAMI Bridge Builder Award, and the 2010 Orange County Physicians of Excellence Award. That year, Orange Coast Magazine recognized him as best physician. His extensive research, clinical experience, teaching, and training in psychiatry offer a unique perspective to help his patients lose weight. His work on weight loss and obesity treatment has appeared in various journals, and he frequently speaks at conferences.
He’s the author of The Thinsulin® Program: The Breakthrough Solution to Help You Lose Weight and Stay Thin, a book that’s voted by the LA Times as one of the top diet books in 2016.
